|I went to the Broadway soft cloth carwash in Chesterton on 1/23. My jeep liberty was cleaned except the back was not touched. I drove around and told the kid running it (Jonathon). his response was there are no free re-washes. I asked for my money back and his reply was that's not going to happen. I asked for a mgr, he said he'll be here tomorrow here's his number, now you gotta back out or pay again. He also did not know who then owner was. |
All I wanted was what I paid for or my money back. i will call the mgr tomorrow, but will probably have the same reply.
Today, 1/24 I called the mgr Nick, and explained the story to him. He did apologize for the way Jonathon acted, but did say he was following rules. He also went on to say that they have it posted in their office to turn off the rear brushes when cars with he tire mounted on the back go through as to not cause any damage, but do not have it posted where a customer can see it. I explained to him that if I knew that only 75% of my car was going to be washed I would have gone elsewhere.
He went on about they have it in the office and Jon should have told me. I asked him for the owners name and number which he gave me Mike Duffy in Berwyn IL at 1-708-795-8920, he said it was the corp office of a national car wash chain RMK of Indiana. I explained to Nick all I wanted was my $10 back since they knowingly did not wash all of my car. He started laughing and said I needed to call Mike Duffy, but probably would not be able to get a hold of him.
I called 708-795-8920 and it was another car wash in Berwyn. Veronica answered and said Mr Duffy was not there. I gave her my number and asked her if she could have him call me.
Today is 1/26 and I have heard nothing. Again, all I want is my $10 back since I did not get what I paid for, and not to be treated rudely for complaining. Not to be lied to, and not to be laughed at.
