Canadian Solar Energy Solutions Charles Installed new door more gaps than old door and mismatched lock set Ottawa, Ontario Canada

My mother an elderly person received a brochure in the mail by Canadian Solar Energy Solutions (Charlie) salesmen owner?? offering doors and windows at great prices. So she called the number listed Charles showed up and they made an agreement for a door and lock set at an additional 300.00 Well a few weeks later he showed up with a fellow saying cracks in cement needed repair and would be an extra 500.00 before installing the door. She said her son would take care of it and please just install door. They where several months late with the door and only because I harassed them. Finally when they did show up 3 guy's they where there roughly 12 hours ?? at the end they could not install complete lock set and would have to come back. Then after bugging for who knows how long they showed up with the other part of lock set (wrong color)not part of set he said that's all they have. We also pointed out the gaps above the door and side we can see the light outside worse that the old door, He said it came from the factory like that and nothing can be done. We have called many times and they just ignore our call. We contacted BBB Ottawa On and they are not returning their call. They have no address and can not be found. There flyer still comes in the mail. Anybody have any idea's.

So glad I found this site as Charles of Canadian Solar Energy Solutions is still sending this flyer out in Ottawa. Your comments have helped me make a decision not to go with this company for projects on my home. Even if the estimate is lower than others, (and homeowners should always get at least three estimates and some refererences; estimates are free, as well as references) it is always best to go with someone accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Check their online site, it lists company's ratings and complaints filed. A great source. And even better, go with a company that has an established showroom in your city. That's what my husband and I will be doing.

I just now (Sept 30, 2011) called this company from an old flyer from JULY 2011, to get a quote, and their number is no longer in service. Thank Goodness !!!
