CareCentrix Discrimination; inconsistant with policies and procedures; high turn-over Overland Park, Kansas

CareCentrix has proven themselves to be discriminative in many ways. The attendance policy is very strict but is only based on the day of the occurance or the mood that the supervisor is in on the day of the occurance. The attendance policy states that if an employee shows up to work, but leaves before the end of the scheduled shift-it is considered to be a .033 tardy/occerance. On the day of a 'blizzard', I went into CareCentrix and told my supervisor that I was not going to be able to stay because of the blizzard and that my husband was there to take me home. My supervisor told me that the office was shutting down early that day-so, I could go ahead and time in and leave. I have this conversation in an email where my supervisor told me 3 times that because I came in and clocked out- it was a .033 but........ Tardies are another choosen disiplinary action as well. Per the Vice President- if we were X:00-X:03, we would not be considered 'tardy' and get a .033 occurance. I was 7:01 and was given a tardy. I was taken into surger on March 12, 2011 for gall bladder surgery. I called the Monday after my surgery and told CareCentrix that I had surgery and that I would be out for at least 2 weeks. I was told at the time I spoke to my supervisor that I would be written up for not coming in. I later called HR and spoke with the Director who told me that me having surgery was "nothing different then me calling in with a sick kid" (her words exactly)... Not only did I argue the fact of the the reason for my surgery but also the 'blizzard' occurance. To tell you how obsurd they are with attendance- HR removed the occurance for the 'blizzard' and kept the 'tardy' and the one from having surgery. This company has made recovering from surgery hard and emotional trying for me. I sat in pain for two weeks before I even went to the Dr. because I didnt want to lose my job. They didnt care enough to show compassion or empahty when I called - only enough to tell me that I was going to be written up.
