I Lorraine Greffin paid, a mandatory 200 dollar deposit on April 17th 2011 to Carson Wales at One Great Event on his website onegreatevent.biz for my wedding that was supposed to be held on Dec 17th 2011. I then paid him three more times in the amount of 200 dollars. Once May 1st, May15th and May 28th of 2011 so that he would have most of the money up front. I had to contact him by phone just to see if he hadn't forgot about be, although his website says he will checkin every month. I didn't happen. Ever. Saturday October 1st I called Carson Wales to let him know the wedding had been canceled and to find out how and when i will be receiving the total of 800 dollars paid to him for his future services, which i will no longer need. Carson Wales told me Lorraine Greffin, that i cannot receive a refund only a 100 percent credit towards another event. i informed that i will not be throwing any events and i wanted my money back. he said he would talk to someone and call me back the next day. Mr. Carson never called me back. i then called him and asked what they came up with and he said "she said that we cannot do a refund". i let him know i will call again and the next day by 12 pm and if no one can give my money back to me i will sue. He said ok and we hung up. I called back the next day he then gave me the same bad news i had been hearing since i had first contacted him about the issue. I told him it was fine because i will call a lawyer to see what my options are. He told me to go ahead. I asked for all of his information to sue him and he started to fuss with me saying he hasn't been sued in 16 years and he will not help me sue him. I know that it is my money and i want it back. He was sent deposits towards the event. there will be no services needed so my money should be returned. i feel if he doesn't want to refund money it has to be a just cause, at least some work put in ahead of time or a contract made up sent and signed by the customer. I have been through enough already and he just made my tough time worse. Lorraine, Leesville LA
