Choosehottubsdirect.com I have been completely ripped off $5,846.00. NO POS product and NO $ back Internet

On April 28, 2010 I was in the market for purchasing a hot tub. I found choose hot tubs direct on the internet and was actually fairly impressed with the tubs and prices. So my first mistake was calling the listed # on the website. I was directed to a sales associate by the name of "Alex" he set me up a great deal on a "Island Escape" spa for $5846.00. When I sent the check I began to have second thoughts and did a Check stop payment through the bank. A guy named "Todd" convinced me of the product, and that everything is secure and I would get my custom spa in 10 to 16 weeks. So I called my bank and reversed my stop payment (should have stuck with my gut feeling-banging my head against the wall) My invoice came in with #2488 I printed it out and had my fingers crossed. I have never sent that much money for anything over the internet. I patiently waited and October came, no word, emails, calls, etc. So I called. I couldn't reach anyone for about 20 min. of calling. I finally got a hold of a woman named "Lisa" she assured me that it would be in by November since it was being manufactured in China. I was taken aback I am like "What", "China"!!! she reponds by saying " you didn't know that"? I am furious by then and she tells me that their orders were backed up and that she would throw in free chemicals, and rebate me the $199 for the steps, for all my trouble. I agreed, and November comes around and again no word. I had to pursue them again. I get ahold of a guy named "Jeff" who was clearly oblivious and not caring about anything. I asked for Lisa and he states that she no longer works for the company. I am boiling by then. He sais my tub won't be in until January. I asked to speak to a manager (which is a nearly impossible task to get ahold of) and he sais "She is not in" I get her direct # and call it continuously for days unsucessfully - always getting the same old voicemail. I left numerous messages no responses back. I try again one day and actually get ahold of Angela Brekker the customer service manager. She gave me the same jive about free chemicals, etc. She had no idea what "lisa" promised me and she told me that they were updating the control board from the 2009 models to the 2010 models. She explained that is the reason for the long wait. I have had it by then. I made complaints to the California district attorneys office, (unsucessfull- they didn't do anything) The Oakland BBB (unsucessfull- they didn't do anything), FTC- (unsucessfull they didn't do anything) I can't afford to fly to San Francisco and miss out on work to take them to court. It has been a year and a half since my check cleared. I got one email stating due to economic conditions the bank froze some of their assets and that they will put me on a refund list. blah, blah, blah, more lies!! I submitted one more complaint to the California district attorneys office today : October 1, 2011. I had also spent another $5000.00 to have a 20*10 slab of concrete built, with a building around it (sky lights, sheetrocked, electrical installed, windows, etc.) I have since purchased another hot tub- used by someone locally for a great price. I just want my hard earned money back!!!
