Foreword: I recently purchased a 2002 BMW 330Ci from Chris Cheever's son, Scott Cheever. I am making this complaint in relation to Chris Cheever, because it was his position as an auto salesman at B & C AUTO that made the fraud possible. To be fair, it was also my failure to have the car inspected by a mechanic before purchase. I am active military, looked at the car while home on leave, and had to finalize the purchase through relatives. Situation: I was sold a vehicle under the pretense that it was 100% and had never been in any accidents. The Carfax and Autocheck reports reflected this. After the fact, it has become more and more obvious that the vehicle was crashed, not reported, and had the front end rebuilt. Cosmetically, it looks good, but the crash knocked a few seals out of place in the engine compartment, and it also damaged the front driver's side linkage which made the car unsafe to drive. A BMW mechanic certified this and would not allow me to leave the dealership without signing a release. In addition to this, the front passenger wheel is the wrong size, and is no doubt a spare that was put on after the crash and left there, since it is hard to notice a difference between a 17x7.5 and 17x8.5 wheel if you're not looking for one. Getting the wheels straightened out along with all other repairs is going to run about $3,000. Bottom Line: Chris Cheever deals in auto sales, and his son, Scott Cheever, goes through cars fairly quickly as well. DO NOT BUY FROM THE CHEEVERS. They are dishonest and sold me a car that could have killed me. They may do the same to you.
