CompuElectronics Fraudulent laptop sale with bad hard drive (1925 bad sectors) and counterfeit software Cleveland, Ohio
12th of May, 2011 by User377579
I purchased a used laptop (supposedly a demo model) from CompuElectronics at an electronics expo at Albuquerque Convention Center. They allegedly upgraded the hard drive, installed Windows 2007, and installed a wireless card. After problems began, a computer service company noted 1925 bad sectors in the hard drive, a loose hard drive, a counterfeit version of Windows 2007, and numerous viruses. I have tried to call the company but their hours are very restricted.
I am having to pay another $200 to fix this mess.
