Continental Finance Taking me to court NEWARK, Delaware

I got my card with a $300.00 limit and then they took $247 out in charges. I was sending payments for a while then I lost my job. I didnt hear anything from them in over 2 yr.
Now I get a call out of the blue from someone saying I had to contact RS & Associates about them sending me a court summons and wanted to make sure I was here to recieve it. So I called the 800 number they gave me to find out what was going on. The lady I talk to said that Continental Finance is taking me to court because I haven't paid them.
She tells me if it goes to court I have to pay them over $3,000.00 plus $2,500.00 for legal fees or they will take 25% of my husbands paychecks (which now is barely enough to pay our months bills). Unless I could pay the principal balance of $975.76 to avoid going to court.
