Angry Homeowners! How much are we going to have to pay in maintenance dues. Seems like every other year or so we are getting an increase. I do not get anything more for my money. When I moved here my dues we $90 per month now $160. I cant sell my unit to get the hell out of here partially because realtors know that Cottonwood Villas is nearly impossible to work with and this complex is known for extremely high monthly dues, and not to mention that you painted my building PINK. DO NOT TELL ME, that our dues are competitive. I have investigated this myself and they are NOT competitive, in fact we are 20 to 30% higher than anyone else in the area in comparable property types. I lived in Autumn Chase for a while and their dues are only $80 per month and they have curb side garbage pick up and nicer facilities, and their roofs aren't rotten. I have had it with the increases in dues and I will not pay any more. I have contemplated simply walking away from this condo. I am telling you that should there be another increase in the dues you will be all but securing my decision in doing just that. Then you will get nothing from that unit. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. I live alone, I do not use anything close $160 worth of amenities from this place yet I pay that month in and month out. Now you are talking about increasing the dues by 15%. Doesn't the charter say that the maximum is 10%, whose rules are you following? Enough already, who the hell do you think you are? On top of all of this I have reported damages to my unit to, Newt Thorne who promised my damages would be handled, Monty from maintenance who promised my damages would be handled and Ed DuHaime who also assured me that my damages would be handled. All this over the course of that last 18 months or so and guess what, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Why should I pay any more when even the things that are promised are not completed. I WILL NOT PAY ANY MORE, I WILL WALK AWAY AND LET THIS FREAKING PLACE FORECLOSE.
Homeowner dues increase of 15% (Illegal according to the charter and absolute bull I will not pay it)

Reduce expenses by reducing some services, specifically security and janitorial, by 25-50% (You mean that you actually pay for this, cut it all together, they are worthless anyway)
