I am just amazed to see that Dermitage Skin Care is allowed to continue its ripoff scam. I filed an incident report around this time last year. I also filed a report with the "internet fraud" department of our wonderful government officials. Since my credit card was involved I filed a rebuttal with my credit card company. All to no avail. (I no longer have that credit card .. good riddance.) Credit care companies are supposed to protect consumers. hahahahahahahaha... maybe a few years back. The method of advertising Dermitage uses is illegal. They don't give clear and precise instructions as to the fact they do not send samples .. they send the actual product which YOU are required to return within 14 days from purchase!! (It's not that you have 14 days to try the product and then return it.. you have 14 days to a) receive the product (subtract 5-6 days from ordering); b) use the product to decide whether you want to keep it and pay the $90 instead of the $6 S&H (3-?? days); c) call the company to obtain the REQUIRED RETURN CODE NUMBER so you can return the product (depending on whether you can get through via the phone number included, it could be 10 days); d) ship the product back to the company (3-4 days and make sure it's certified, return receipt). I had browsed various websites and there were some with very positive reviews on the product. In fact, the one I found was interesting in that it did not allow any responses or comments. It was obviously a planted website placed online by Dermitage. Some other sites where I left complaints had 1 or 2 people coming on to do "rebuttals" of the complaints - on not just mine - which were totally RUDE and OBNOXIOUS and obviously placed there by representatives of Dermitage!! NOW I REMEMBER to check out if I have any concerns or am unfamiliar with a company!! The consumer, especially these past few years, has lost all their protections they worked so hard to garner in the first place. The government allows credit card companies to shorten their turn-around times, increase their late fees, increase their interest rates.. and those of us who do not feel comfortable paying online are charged with "late fees" and cannot prove the payment arrived on time unless they spend and extra $4 to have the payment certified, etc. (The "late fee" trick has been on-going for a number of years.) One notice of "late fee" and your credit rating goes down. You are invited to dispute the notice, but try it and see if it helps!! (Silly, naive consumers... life is no longer in any way "fair")
