Bought a book on line 2-3-2010 for $10.00 at the end of the check out they asked if you wanted discount shipping. I did the book went to $4.59 free shipping. I guess there must of been some real small print stating that I was signing up for a book club at $9.95 a month. I charged this on a bus. credit card and the statement goes to my bookkeeper. They charged me $9.95 a month each month on the 3rd for 6 months at $9.95 then on the 7th month the fee went to $19.95 a month. I and my wife buy a lot of books on line and the bookkeeper thought this is what we wanted. Finally after 1 year she called me and asked what this was. I had never ordered or been back to this site since. I had no idea I was in a book club let alone my CC was being charged each month. I never received a e-mail call nothing especially when there was a $10 increase. There e-mails come to you under a different name and were probably stopped in the spam filter. This is a real scam and is costing who knows how many people each money a lot of money.

I just learned that my credit card has been charged $9.95/month since I ordered a book from BBV Discounted Books - what a rip off. When I called, they told me it was clearly visible on their website. I asked the CSR to tell me where I could find such a statement and she offered to credit two months of charges. I am still waiting (beyond the timeline CSR said) for a "supervisor" to pursue credit for other charges. This site is a rip-off and I would NOT suggest doing business on-line with them.
