Dollar Rental Car Dollar !!!!!!Do NOT Rent from Dollar if you are in a state that uses tolls!!!!!! West Palm Beach, Florida

If you rent from Dollar expect extra charges about 6-8 weeks after you travel. My fiancee and I rented a car at the West Palm Beach Dollar Rental Car location. They never told us about the need to rent a "Sun Pass" to automatically pay for tolls. They did not have it posted at their counter. We stopped to pay every toll during our trip. I travel 3-5 days a week for work so I was well aware of the touchy toll and rental car situation. Despite manually paying every toll, I received a charge of $75.75 for going through (what they said) three tolls without paying. This is crazy!! They charged us $25 extra per toll even though we paid them!

Right away the lady on the phone said she knew I was right but couldn't tell me why they would not refund all of my money. She claimed to only be able to refund $60 worth. She agreed that it was a scam!

Bottom line.... Do not rent from Dollar! The other option is to pay $5.99/day extra for a toll pass or expect to fight with them to take off fake charges. There will one day be a class action lawsuit again Dollar and I promise to be a part of it. Save your time and money... it is not worth the extra savings upfront when you are going to be blind sided after your trip.
