I am a big domainer at DomainDiscount24 with over 1000 domain names at one point. So, I asked for a discount on my domain renewals. They emailed me and told me I could pay $15.50 per domain instead of $25 per domain. An executive from their company, Andreas Soll, even changed the price to reflect the discount for me and so I renewed my names. Andreas Soll is a longtime executive at the company according to ICANNWiki.org so he had the authority to make the decision. Two years later, a customer support representative from DomainDiscount24, Simon Roder, emailed me last week to tell me they had "bad news" for me and that they had "charged the wrong prices" and that I "owed" them $14000. Simon Roder at DomainDiscount24 tried to rip me off and to extort $14000 from me in the email I have included below. They said I "owed" them $14000. I can tell you these guys at DomainDiscount24 are slimeballs and are not to be trusted. I made it very clear I would transfer my domains out of DomainDiscount24 if I did not receive a discount. So, they tricked me with a "fake" discount, only to ask me to pay them the difference 2 years later! Can you believe it? As a major domain portfolio holder, I work with all the major domain registrars, including GoDaddy and Enom. Nobody makes $14000 mistakes in this industry, and "discovers" them 2 years later - after their customer has renewed over 2000 domains with them over 2 years! I consider these guys to be criminals and shakedown artists. Your domains are not safe with them. If you have domains at DomainDiscount 24, I urge you to transfer them to a safer place. DomainDiscount24 will rip you off when your domains are up for renewal. Below is the email they sent me to rip me and also the email they sent me proving that they offered me the discount 2 years ago. After I pointed out that they had offered me the discount in the first place, they did not even apologize. In fact, rather than apologize, their customer support were so arrogant and indignant, that they decided to triple my renewal domain prices overnight from $15.50 (which is 9 euros) to $40 euros (which is 29 euros). This time, they did that without evening bothering to notify me. The funny thing is that my domain name renewal price was now 30% higher than their prices for their regular, non-bulk customers. In my years in the domain name business, I have never known a single registrar who has done this to their customers. Needless to say, DomainDiscount24 and Key-Systems have completely lost me as a customer. This registrar does not care about their customers.
