Elite Foods Did Not Stand Behind Satisfaction Guarantee and Very Rude and Pushy!!! Kent, Ohio

A man shows up at my door on 6/22/2011 offering an "excellent deal" on meat packages. He says it is restaurant quality meat and if we are not satisfied, it is money back guarantee. So, I postdate a check for 6/27/2011 so we can try out the meat. We try out the meat and it literally tastes like rubber. So, we call the local number given to us 330-677-7090 several times with no answer and no answering machine. I then proceed to call the main office located in Texas at 1-800-87-ELITE. We are told to try a different kind of meat and if we are still unsatisfied then call back. Again, the meat was not to our standars so we called back and were told that our check would not be cashed and somebody would be in contact to pick up the remaining meat. In the meantime, I had went to bank and issued a stop payment on the check as I did not trust their word. Over a week later, i get a phone call saying somebody would be here on 7/11/2011 at 1:00 pm to pick up remaining meat. Finally on 7/11/2011 at 3:45 pm somebody shows up, he comes into my house and watches me take everything out of the freezer. I hand it to him and he leaves. He comes back about 15 minutes later and tells me that the Ribeyes are thawed out. I asked to see them since they were in my freezer the whole time and nothing in my freezer is thawed out. He refused to show them to me. He said he just wanted me to know so we could get our freezer checked and tehn he left again. Approximately 15 minutes later, he shows up at my door yet again saying that some meat is missing which we were told to try. He would not leave and I threatened to call the sherriff if he did not leave my property. He left and that night (7/11/2011) I receive a phone call at 9:12 pm with a voicemail from a gentleman at Elite Foods telling me since some meat was missing and the Ribeyes were thawed (which they would not prove to me) they were going to file a civil suit against me. I still have the voicemail saved on my phone. He was very rude and very unprofessional.
