Emporio Fashion Sold Fake Suits and Leather Jackets Dubai, United Arab Emirates

BEWARE all business travelers on the Dubai to Abu Dhabi Highway.

Got approached by a very pleasent Italian chap on the way to airport from local Dubai fashion trade fair. He claimed to have surplus stock and didnt want to pay the tax on the stock when back arriving back in Italy. He wanted to buy his wife an i Phone in exchange for 2 suits and 2 leather jackets (all fake).

He was very softly spoken and seemed very real. Like a mug I was suckered in and handed over just over $1000 (AED 4000)!

At least the suits fit ok and one of the jackets will be fine once back in the cold of the UK.

exactly same happened to me today (30-10-2011) in Sheikh Zayed Road closed to Dusit Thani Hotel. The difference was that I paid 5, 500 aed and I just realised that the clothes were fake when I got home. He said he was running on the way to the airport as he had to catch a flight in 30 min. The suits fit well but I want my money back. Would you like to report this situation to the police together? Let me know.

same thing happened to me too on16th December 2011 near al fahidi metro station. but fortunately my credit card was blacked by hotel and I could only withdraw 300 aed which he got plus some changes :(( and gave me one suits, but i like the style and it fits ok . because in our country everything is fake, I realized it is fake but at the end he made me pay him, however he speaks german very fluently .
