I am a mechanic and have been answer questions for customers thru Fixya.com. They are suppose to pay me for answering questions concerning auto repair. As of yet I have only received 50.00 for my services. I am no longer answering questions since they won't pay up. I figure it is 75.00

They do pay you. They take in $15-$20/post, and pay you maybe $2 of it. You either use paypal or a pre-paid/out of country credit card, with attached fees of course. Techs do not make squat compared to what they rake in. Also, their process of approving a tech is very, very, very, highly questionable. They seem to approve based on mere appearance of professionalism, rather than actual knowledge. It's pretty obvious that some of the people have very little to no clue as to what they are talking about. Their TOS states that they own the copyrights to anything posted, and that they are not libel for anything except taking your money. Seriously.
