|My father ordered two pieces of medical equipment from this company a week before he passed away, while in the hospital. The equipment arrived at my grandmothers house and was never opened. After my father passed away on 3/9/11 I called GoSouthernmd.com and spoke with Robert Remitz, I explained the situtation he was very understanding and said that I could return the equipment, but he would have to deduct the cost of the return shipping from my refund. I asked him to just credit the credit card used when my father ordered the equipment. He said he would schedule a pick up. I told him that my grandmother has cancer and I was thinking of bringing the boxes to my house to have them picked up there. He said "let me make this real easy for you just take the boxes to a UPS store and call me from the UPS store and I'll take care of everything". On 3/15/11 I took the boxes to the UPS store and called like Robert Remitz told me to. The UPS store would not talk to him, they said it was their policy to not talk to anyone. I told the person I spoke with at GoSouthernmd.com that I would take the boxes home and call them back from home. I called back to see about a pick up from home and was told by the man that answered the phone that Elina would call me back. I never got a call back so on 3/16/11 I called again to ask about getting the packages returned and Robert Remitz said that he had wasted enough time with me and he was sorry that my dad passed away but that was to freaking bad, he said he was not going to take 5 phone calls a day from me, I tried to tell him that this was only my 3rd called since my dad died and that I had done what he told me to do and gone to the UPS store but they would not get on the phone with him and then he so you just didn't want to pay the shipping, I told him that it was not a case of paying or not paying that we had talked about me calling him and he would handle it and refund the difference. At this point I said to him that I was questioning how his company did business and he started yelling at me that now he was not going to take the equipment back and hung up on me. I was upset since I am not used to that type of treatment from a company and was just trying to deal with my dad's death and everything that goes along with things after a death. After I calmed down I went back to his website and looked at their return policy and contacted them through their website this is what I sent- Please send me a RMA so I can return these items. I|
would also like the name and contact information for the owner, CEO or board
of director's. And this is how he replied he inclued several people from his company on this email. This is NOT how business works Lynn and we are not wasting our time anymore.
You PAY to ship it back and then we will decide what to do from there. It
clearly says this on our terms and conditions. The RMA number is your order number with a dash followed by RET. Follow the
instructions on the website and I am the owner, CEO, etc. Please do not
ever questions what we do again. We have filled over 40,000 orders with not
a problem. We go out of our way for people but I we will not assist you on
this anymore. My margins are to small to walk someone through these steps
which can be easily followed on our site. NO ONE AT GOSOUTHERNMD better respond to this. ONLY ME. I will not pay you
to spend your time anymore on this. I have the orginal email and will be happy to share it with anyone thinking about doing business with this company or this man. I also have the information from their website on how to return items and it states to call their customer service. If you do business with this company you better hope you do not have problems and need to call because they will not help you.
