UNFORTUNATELY this is a common practice among financial institutions although it is outrageous just the same.
I have been using direct deposit for many years. Over the years I have had several different employers and almost as many banks utilizing direct deposit. During the above mentioned period I have noticed that colleague's that have credit unions and a very few other banks for reception of thier direct deposit recieve thier funds on the same day they are issued while most other direct deposit users get thier funds posted a full day later. Please be advised Walmart money card AKA Greendot financial is also one of the financial institutions that keeps your direct deposit for a full 24 hours past when it is actually recieved. To some people this may seem a trivial matter however I personally feel that it is an electronic transaction and I want my money the same day it is released from my employer.
