In July Iwas approached by a checker in Harbor Freight Tools about joining their "Inside Track Club" for $29.99, where you are issued a membership card with a bar code. I was told that HFT has special pricing and deals for members only, and that when you come in they just need toscan the card to give you the lowest possible price. As an added feature for theInside Track Club Customer, they (HFT)will send (you)adsnotifying you ofspecial sales and dealsfor members only. It turns out that the ads have coupons online or mailed occasionally and that the coupons are required for the discounts. I do not know of any other discounts other than coupon items. Bottom Line is that you PAY to have coupons sent to you. There are no DEALS per se, other than the coupon deals. The HFT employee obviously LIED stating that "they just needed to scan the card to get the lowest possibleprice." Never once was I told (until I went to buy) that the coupons were needed and required in order to get the pricing. I am just wondering how many other people were fed this line of bull in order to become a member?? I would not have joined under these circumstances. It's not so much the buck or two savings as it is the aggravation and dishonesty.

Quit your bitching, the second you realized the card wasn't what you thought it was you could have returned it for a full refund. The sales people at HF are usually high school kids and aren't the diabolical liars just trying to make an extra dollar for the company that pays them minimum wage.
