Hays Law Center (now out of business; with Triton Law Group PC doing the same business from the same address with different phone numbers and Thomas Hays as the registered agent). Hays got $2995 for a mortgage loan modification which they never did.
The connection between these two scam firms is Thomas Hays, an attorney listed with the State Bar of California. Complaints about him to the Bar might make a difference. Got to move fast though because his businesses come and go like crazy. If you can show that he has acted unethically then there is a Bar restitution fund. It takes a couple years to work through the system but for nearly $3,000 it's worth it. So far, I have found that none of these scammers are members of the Better Business Bureau and all have a rating of F or sometimes D. The scammers are particularly active in California, Arizona, Texas and Florida, although they are everywhere. |

| I have been contacted by them numerous times. They have gone by 3 different names in just a couple of months. First it was Hays Law Center, then Triton Law Group, and now Elkins and Associates. Every time making promises and asking for money. When I ask them why they changed their name, they tell me that they have not and I must be mistaken. How good of a law firm can you be if you change your name every couple of months, same address, same phone number just different name. |

Do your research before you blast Triton. My name is Robert Penca and Triton with Rick Elkins gave me an excellent modification after others failed.
I have referred them to all my friends and family. They were very professional and had an attorney do a a compliance call with me to manage my expectations. Triton has results with bank work-outs, eviction delay programs and bankruptcy filings. I referred my son to them for a bankruptcy that was discharged in 3 months. They are a very compliant company and should be reconized for their work. |

| No complaints about Triton and Hays Law Center. I would have been on the street if it wasn't for them. They under promised and over delivered. Speak with the operations manager and she will take good care of you and return your phone calls. |

| Well we signed up for loan remodification at first phone they were always available and helpful telling us that we stand to have a 1, 000.00 dollar reduction. One day we decided to drop by theyre office cause they do recommend it. We could'nt find it cause the building that they do business was not marked no Business name red flag. Then before last payment was made they start setting US up telling that the banks not cooperating that we would have to go to court. So Chase sends a letter of remodificatin a reduction of maybe $100.00 so we contact Triton and no answers meanwhile we have to respond to Chase, they finally call and say that it's probably the best that can be done. We spend $3, 600.00 for a less than $100.00 reduction. I did better the year before. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR WHAT THEY DID YOU CAN PROBABLY CAN DO IT ON YOUR OWN. |

| TRITON LAW FIRM IS A SCAM: Referring to ignacio Anaya's case, our case is exactly the same as yours. The triton Law firm called us about home modification back in July last year. I was searching for asstistance in our mortgage issue. As we first began with this law firm, it seemed too good to be true, they were calling to confirm paperworks and this, and that, etc. We set up for 3 payments to be drafted out of our bank account, the total cost of the service was $3, 064.00, in which was broken down into the 3 payments. As we were down to one payment left to be paid, the calling and communication from the Triton law firm all of a sudden stopped, we were calling and trying to get a hold of anyone to get a status on our house modification, the calls went directly to an answering service, yet, messages after messages were left, but no return call from their office. All the way down to the last payment drafted out of our bank account, then it was like, there was no service at all from Triton law performed on our behalf, then as I continued to call and left messages and out of nowhere the lady I had been talking to finally returned my call to tell me that Triton law had moved to Nevada and they have nothing to do with that law firm. We are now 8 months behind on our mortgage, and just filed a chapter 7 to save our house from foreclosure. My advise to you all, please, do not fall for any scam on line, especially with any calls or e-mail telling you that this company will help your modification to keep your house, please, please, if you receive any call from Tritom Law firm or Home Star law, RUNNNNNN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. This is a scam and they will take your money and will do absolutely nothing for you!!! |

| Yes there scams I hired them to help me out with my modifcation. Everytime I called to talk to somebody I would get the run around it was never somebody consistant. They had a sister company in NV what a suprise they closed that office without any notice after having me send them all my documents. I paid them $1, 500 up front. I have'nt hear nothing from them since. I would have never thought an attorneys office would scam those are the people you hire to defend you. My mistake right I put faith in man kind, the only faith I should have put it was in my precious Jesus Christ. |

| I was scammed by Triton Law since last year, they gave me the advice to not pay my mortgage, that they would obtain a modification to my mortgage that would allow me to make the payment I could afford. But they did not obtain a modification. No, I am now filing for bankrupcey due to there negligence and lack of knowing what they are doing In my opinion. They took 3 grand and basically did nothing over a years time. They are hard to get in touch with. They dont return your calls. I blame them for poor advice and poor business practices. |

| Their seems to be a lot of people that got ripped off from Hays Law Firm. They took 4, 000 from me as they were going to do my line of credit too. They never did anything I was sick after a surgery and became permanently disabled and they said oh they could help me in 30 days! My daughter came down from Oregon to put together the package. We had everything, the letters, copies of bills, the fact I lost a huge amount of income since I lost my job. Every month I would call and they would say send me 3 months of your bank statements. This went on and on. Then I called Wells Fargo as they told me not to talk to them and well they said that Hays never returned their phone calls so they denied the claim. I was told if it was denied I would get my money back, this was in 2010 then they said oh their is a clause in the contract if you don't return a phone call the contract is null and void so they kept all my money. They did not even work on The Line of Credit modification. I felt so stupid. But I was so sick and had to worry about living. We should all file a class action suit against them. They deserve to be closed down. I would get a case worker and then the next week they would be gone. He is a horrible man! Taking money from a sick person is so disgusting! |
