|I ordered a wine bottle wall art online 3/30/2011 from Ideelworld. The merchandise that was sent was what I had ordered. I called and spoke with Mr.Kotter who was very apologetic and would get back to me. I heard nothing and emailed him- again very apologetic, checked with his supplier and promised would have it in 2 weeks-now it is the end of April. I waited a few weeks and it never came. Emailed him again with no response. Left messages on the phone with no return response.|
Started using the online chat feature and spoke with Alex who would look into it and again apologized. Never heard a word back. June 14th- email received from Mr. Kotter who thought his assistant had responded and then sent me ideas of other pieces I might be interested in. I replied that I did not want any of those and send me what i had ordered. No further communication came. Went on chat with Alex again who said he work work it out. I sent email 7/14/11 and requested my item again which was still available on their website. No response.
Spoke with Alex again in August who now said item was not available. Asked for my refund and a shipping label to return the item i received by mistake. He said he would work on it. Nothing came in the mail. Went on chat in Sept. and spoke with Caitlin who promised all would be cleared up in a week. Still no response. Spoke with Alex 9/22 on chat. He promised to post my refund to Paypal in 1-2 days and told me how to send merchandise back free of charge. No refund was posted. This company totally rips off their customers with promise after promise, many apologies and sincere kind words. I order online often and have never had any problem like this.

This is a scam and if anyone knows how to go about suing for damages please let me know as I would definitely like to pursue this further.
|I too was ripped off by Ideelworld. I ordered a custom Italian table on 4/12/11 and wired ( stupidly) $1295. After pictures of table were received I paid the final payment through a credit card which I did get refunded. I don't know how they sent me pics of the table in progress but there is no table and no refund. Now my emails are kicking back|
I am out $1295 but am persuing this with the BBB, CPA and FTC
|I too am having a problem with Ideelworld which apparently they have aquired Tranquility Alley. My purchase is only $80.00 but it's the principle of the thing. Their web site says that they have better customer service and new people but the new people do not respond to my emails, live chats(haha) or messages that I leave on their voicemail. Something really needs to be done with this vendor especially if they want to stay in business. It doesn't sound very good.|
