First I would like to start off by saying thank you to scam report and all the people who have spoken out against those crooks at ITT-Tech. Not only did they rip me off of an education but they left me in a lot of dept. I no longer want to make love to my wife because I have been screwed enough from ITT-Tech. I had attended there for one full quarter and two classes of the second quarter and withdrew on June 28, 2011.
After only the first few classes I realized that they didn't have any teaching procedures, it's like they made it up as they went along and as long as you had your name on a piece of paper wrong or right you still got a 100%. The books, I couldn't even tell you why they issued the books because in our Intro to PC we opened our books one time if even that. Ms. Amy said she didn't like working on Friday and into about an hour into class(which is a 41/2 hour class) she would let us leave and go home.
In our Strategies class our instructor had us singing and dancing in class instead of doing hands on learning excel, power-point, and Microsoft word. Our Problem Solving teacher, Mr. Ray Hawkins, didn't even carry a math book to class and didn't know the answers to half of the problems on the board and didn't even really care when asked for help he would reply that it doesn't even matter just put your name on the paper and turn it in and you will pass with an A, I promise he replied.
After a few weeks of that I realized that I was being screwed by having to pay $400 a month for an education that I was not learning but buying. I started to do some research on ITT-Tech and saw how many scam that they were involved in and that the FBI had raided them due to fraud and reading the reports off of scam reports and other forums, that's when I realized that this was happening to me. I became worried about the money and having a degree that I wouldn't be able to use because ITT-Tech has a terrible name with IT companies.
I withdrew June 28,2011 and talked to the head chairman for our field and he said he would process it and turn it in and then he would mail us a copy, I didn't receive it until July 16, 2011 and it stated that I didn't withdraw until July 11,2011 charging me for classes that I was not even attending.
Leaving me with a $9,873 bill. On my summary from FAFSA they have received more than what they have put on their bill printout but can't explain where the rest of that money went and not to mention the extra $400 a month that they were charging me in cash that was suppose to be for 12 months. If anybody can help, please I need advise. I am printing out everything that I have read from the FBI, the fraud cases, the forums and I am dedicating my weekdays after work to passing out flyers at the school to expose them to the world for the crooks that they are.
