| Jared Shafer’s cruelty kills another veteran Uncle Jack, a proud veteran of World War II and Korea died penniless this morning on Veterans day in Las Vegas thanks to the care of Jared E Shafer, Las Vegas’ former public guardian. After serving his country, Jack Foster spent his working life as a lock smith until he decided to retire in 2007. Jack’s only mistake was to move to Las Vegas. Glaucoma took his vision and with the death of his wife Margie in 2009 he wanted to return to his family who lived in Chicago. Jared Shafer became his guardian after Jack’s vision loss. Mr. Shafer was able to obtain a medical report, which stated Jack’s blindness made him incompetent, which blocked the family from providing any assistance under Nevada family law. The National Federation for the Blind filed an objection to the report, which stated blindness alone could make a senior incompetent. but it fell on deaf ears in Commissioner Norheim’s court. At the time Commissioner Norheim marked this report as solid, uncle Jack was taking law courses online from Abraham Lincoln School of Law. Uncle’s grade point average was a solid 3.5, which is a super achievement for an 88 year old man who needed screen reading software to complete his courses. The law courses were excellent therapy for my uncle, but Jared Shafer wouldn’t allow him to continue. Shafer stated in Commissioner Norheim’s court that a blind man finishing law at Jack’s age was a stupid and ridiculous notion. Shafer’s attorney Alan Freer remarked even thinking of legal studies at Jack’s age only demonstrated his lack of competence. Commissioner Norheim agreed and Jack traded his online courses for a television set tuned to TV Land, which was the community station in Jack’s care facility. . My uncle’s spirits declined sharply and he withdrew into himself. Mr. Shafer said this was a normal process of aging. Our family couldn’t afford an attorney to fight Jared Shafer. Jack gradually wasted away. This morning at approximately 8 AM On November 11 2011 we received that dreaded call telling us Jack was dead. I immediately traveled to Las Vegas to talk with a distant cousin who used to work as an attorney for a law firm who currently represents Jared Shafer. My cousin told me to write this report, but not to reveal the identity of the former attorney who used to work in the law firm. I learned Mark Solomon of Solomon, Dwiggins, Freer, and Morse constantly held meetings with Alan D Freer to discuss what he called possible allegations being filed against the firm’s client, Jared Shafer. These allegations included the following: embezzlement of trust funds, comingling of accounts, running a Ponzi scheme, perjury, submitting false medical reports, lying to beneficiaries, using members of his staff to seduce vulnerable family members to obtain money or information, paying off judges, marketing securities without a license, violation of suitability rules as they pertain to family trust investments, and intimidation of family members who have opposed Mr. Shafer. Mark Solomon has stated if we all remain on the same page no one will be able to create problems. Mr. Solomon mentioned the scam reports, stating “we can’t challenge them because a defense could bring up allegations, which have not been brought to the surface. This is the environment, which killed my Uncle. Jack Foster was not a poor man, he worked hard his entire life and this was his reward. Jack had savings and securities of approximately $400,000, but Mr. Shafer told us he was completely broke. I telephoned Mr. Shafer’s office in Henderson after receiving the news and was told by Patience Bristol, “we don’t discuss anything with family members.†Patience didn’t even say she was sorry Jack died. I talked with two other families this afternoon who told me Jared Shafer never acknowledges the deaths of any of his court appointed wards. Mr. Shafer is a calculating senior killing for profit machine. When Shafer enters a family, everything stops. Family possessions are stolen, heirlooms are tossed into the trash, and in some cases ashes of cremated family members have been flushed down the toilet. Death and isolation follow this guardian. Jared Shafer you are not a human being. You’ve lived on earth, but you’re not one of us. Oh yes you live, breathe, and eat, but you have nothing in common with the people who live on earth. Jack is dead and unfortunately for the people you will meet in the future you’re still alive. The holidays are coming soon and we know you will rejoice in the pain you have caused. |
