Received a letter in the mail detailing I had been chosen to receive a grant through the Greendot Friend Program. Simply cash or deposit check of $960.55. Purchase green dot card for $414 and send card info via fax to cover commission of independent grant broker: Jason Friend. Keep additional money and a check ($9,040.00) will be sent Airmail Express next day. Obviously it's a scam. Some additional info: The checks routing number traces back to Bank of America in Richmond, Virginia. The letter was postmarked LA/Hollywood California with no return address. The letter and check were printed on standard check printing stock that anyone can purchase. That being the case, they could use any banking info they choose. My name is jason friend im also a victim of this scam I received a check for 950.00 each person that has tried to cash these checked your name goes into a data base and the names are then revolved and new check are made out with different name on them like mine was its like a revolving door with different names my check came out of new York I then contacted nypd and the secret service. The main people doing the are out of austria
