This Company has 8 or more full-time employees. They came up with the name JPS for this company because it sounds like gyps. To gyp someone is to rip them off or swindle them, and this is what they do best. They have machines placed allegedly for Hugs not Drugs. They print their own labels and boast of paying pennies per machine, when their contract with Hugs not Drugs, in fact, calls for dollars per machine. Timothy F. Ricci claims ties to criminal drug abusers and abuses illegal sustances. NO unemployment taxes are paid. These people do not meet any tests for sub-contractors.No workmans compensation is paid. There are hundreds of machines that are placed and are not for charitable purposes. Rent is paid to the location and Sales Tax is not. The location finders often times have no authorization to place the vending units. This scam is called slamming in the bulk vending industry. They refuse to refund to the route operator when the location is lost. Scott Neighbors, James Wright, Jill Cash, Karen Wright (and her Mother), Sandra Lake, Steven R Michel, Barry Heacock, and several other suspects, actively steal and /or deface machines that are currently on location, as well as actively STEAL locations. They charge other operators as much as $120 to find locations and then stick one of their gumball machines in next to the operators machine. They then have their locater or routeperson talk badly about this competition and even damage the competitons equipment. After the competition, that they charged for this location, gives up and removes their equipment, then they resell this location and start the fraud all over again. Ricci routinely shows false addresses on Florida State filings.
None of the subjects involved pay proper Federal taxes.
Ricci has been known to file false police reports, with false company names and information to discourage competition. Sales and use taxes have not been paid on any of the equipment purchased from out of state. These subjects have regular business meetings, during which the one who has screwed-over competing operators gets a bonus. A bonus is offered for usable machines stolen. They now have over 5000 machines on location. Please for the sake of the bulk vending business, report anything at all that seems unusual concerning these thieves. Dwayne
