This bakery is totally unprofessional.
Myself and my family commissioned Kim and Ashlee's Cakes & Cookies to create a cake in the image of RCMP highbrown boots for my father's RCMP retirement party.
This was ordered several months in advance and they said "no problem!". They asked to have one of the boots so that they could more accurately sculpt and create them. We provided a boot.
Again: "No problem". The morning of the party, upon pick, the cake looked NOTHING like the boots that we had requested. The cake looked deformed, melted, off-scale and sloppy. The staff did not even apologize after being told that the cake was unacceptable. The attitude at the time (an hour away from party time) was: take it or leave it. We ended up buying sheet cakes at the eleventh hour from Safeway. A horrible disappointment.
When we attempted to contact the owner of the bakery for an explanation she refused to take calls and will ONLY communicate with us in writing. Shocking service. After complaning further, we did recieve $90 in gift certificates. The cake was $250 dollars..and we had to throw it in the garbage.
Never do business with this bakery, they don't really want you to.
