I spent alot of money on a WS 1510 weather station. It took several times of installing and removing batteries to finally get the reciever(s) to link-up. During a recent storm that come through, the station reported a max. wind gust of 6.2 mph. I know this is false because of the F2 tornado that both uprooted trees and downed power lines on our street. I purchased it online, from a dealer that is/was only willing to give me the LaCrosse Tech. number for problems. After being on hold for some 15-20 minutes the customer rep. (who I could hardly understand) kept telling me, I needed to change to batteries. He did finally give me to option to send the unit in to be "checked out" at a fee of $25.00, then if anything needed to be repaired or replaced that would be at an additional cost. I'd bought a cheaper ($129.99)weather station from LaCrosse at the same time as this one, as gift for a relative, I spoke them about theirs, they have had so much trouble with it, they have thrown it away. So, please save yourself some money and don't buy a
LaCrosse brand.
