Lightening Electric Inc. Irvin M. Meldrim President, Jeff Meldrim- Vice President of Operations Nick Giannoutsos Service Manager A Lightening Electric
29th of Jul, 2010 by User405187
In Nov. 2009 My daugher was heading East on Forest Hill Blvd toward Federal when she was hit from behind on her Altima bumper by a Nick Giannoutsos. He is a Service Manager when was driving a Lightning Electric van at time of accident . He told my daughter to follow him to Lightning Office located not far from where accident occurred and they would tell the owner what happened. My husband got a call from my daughter and he drove over to Lightning Electric office to also find out what happened etc. Owner Irvin M Meldrum told my husband to take car which had paint coming off bumper now to a body shop called Gregs body and pain shop for a estimate. Took estimate of more than $400.00 back to Irwin and was told estimate too much and to take it to another body shop which we did. This next estimate was over $600.00 to replace bumper and repaint . We also took it to another place we choose and got $400.00 estimate to replace bumper.took all 3 estimates to Lighning Electric and was told they arent paying for damage. At time of accident my daughter said there was some green marks on side of fender of her car from something before that had rubbed up on side of fender so they said after we get estimates that she must have been in a accident before even though all fenders no marks that show had been hit or repainted or anything that would show she had been in any accident before. We didnt fill out a police report on day of accident because we believed that the company would pay to have fended repainted. We don't expect the fender to be replaced even though all three body shops recommended the bumper to be replaced . We just want money owned to pay for paint to repaint the bumper. they said they would pay $50.00 and that's it . My husband wouldn't take it due to principle . 50.00 won't pay for paint. Would cost at least $100.00 for paint and maybe $100.00 to hire someone to sand and repaint bumper. We are honest people and when were told day of accident they would pay to have bumper repainted then after we get estimates they wanted now they say no won't pay. i told my husband to get a police report day of accident but my husband believed this company would do what was right and pay for damage to her bumper. nope now they won't do it . Bunch of Liars . Please learn from my mistake of taking a company at their word and when my gut tells me to call the police and get a police report so that if they resind a few weeks afterwards then I will at least have a police report so I can take them to court to get them to pay for bumper repaining. Why can't a company be honest and just pay for damages caused by one of their drivers? Why can't they?
