Majestic Sales LLC / Marquis Fulfillment Agency LLc
Fraudulant Sales
21st of May, 2011 by CReyes
2-guys knocked on my door claiming that I was their last chance to win a trip to England, where they would be attending radio broadcast school (1st line of B**). 1-guy was a fast talker and the other guy, believe it or not, had an Army Military ID! They were selling magazine subsriptions for US Military abroad and children who were hospitalized.. yeah, right. They were extremely persistant and asked very personal questions (I didn't answer any of those). They were also very demanding about wanting to come in, and insisted that they were concerned about my car. They would take my car out on test drive, give it a "going over" and wash it for me.. only getting worse. I've been approached before, and have always said "NO". This time I was curious. I wanted to verify whether or not this was legitimate (of course I already knew it wasn't). Interestingly enough, they chose the magazines and price went up considerably after they made their choices. I had to make them give me a receipt before I would hand them my check. I went on-line, receipt in hand, and verified the Majestic Sales LLC is a fraudulant company known for their scams. I then put a stop payment on my check. The stop payment fee was worth uncovering this scam.
The very next day there was repeated pounding at my door. I wasn't going to answer the door, but I was pretty ticked that someone would do that. My dog flew out the door to attack the guy. He said that his "co-workers" told him that I would be willing to buy magazine subscriptions at a later date, and he was here to sell it to me. I said "NO, go away" and closed the door. A few minutes later I could hear conversation outside so I peeked out. This guy is now at my neighbor's door. I walked out and asked my neighbor if she was interested in what he was selling.. she said no. I told him that neither of us wanted what he was selling and he needed to leave. Then he became very angry and started to yell in hopes of intimidating me and making me back off. I'm not easily intimidated, so I stood my ground. When I went to another neighbors door for help, the guy took of running.. fast.
Beware.. young guys approach women and young women approach men. They prey on the opposite sex in their scam game. BTW.. I found out that the magazines are actually going to the sellers homes. The BBB has received complaints, but has not been very successful in resolving the majority of them.
