MLBSMS MYHOROSCOPEONLINE ALRTS OR MYHOROSCOPEONLINE.COM Bill your cell phone when you think your filling out info for free movie tickets, Internet
8th of Nov, 2011 by User924552
I was on Facebook and there was a link on a friends page to win free movie tickets. I clicked on the "like" the page then takes you to another screen on "where to send your tickets". Once you fill out your name and address & phone number your then sent a pin number to your cell phones. After entering the pin numerous text pages start popping up on the phone saying your cell phone is being billed $9.99 for Myhoroscopesonline.com. I then called the phone number provided within 5 mins and requested my money be refunded complaining to them this was a scam and I was applying to win free movie tickets. They basically told me to bad so said we are a 3rd party billing and I cant get my money back. Needless to say I cussed them out and hung on them and came straight to ripoffreport.com.

Same thing just happened to me. I went to "yotube.com" not "youtube.com" and had a pop up that looked lagit. It had the youtube font and coloring and said i was randomly selected enter into a contest to win one of 3 prizes but they were out of the TV so i had to select between a phone or ipad. Again, it looks very lagit and I thought I could trust it because it appeared to be affiliated with youtube. Anyway, you put your number in for a conformation code and wham $9.99 lost and we will see if it becomes monthly.

This is very deceptive but i would imagine legal (for now). It is unfortunate that people put out such effort on an elaborate scam when that same energy could be put toward a lagitimate company that benefits humanity. However there is a rush or excitement when doing something that is un-ethical, yet is still legal. Lagitimate companies loose that stigma and are difficult to manage.

Anyway, do not type things in a web browser, go through google or whatever search engine every time.

I saw en email offering a Kohl's gift card for completion of a Kohl's survey. When I was almost finished completing the survey, a new screen came up and asked me to enter my cell phone number. There was no indication that the request was not coming from Kohl's and since I'm a frequent shopper, I thought there was no harm in doing so. Within seconds, I received five text messages from this horoscope company. I was infuriated because I don't even believe in horoscopes. When I looked up the company, Premium-Customer-Care.com, called it at 1-877-707-1775 and demanded that they refund the money for my texts, the rep claimed they couldn't refund it, but would cancel my subscription. I reported them to the FCC, but I don't know if any action has been taken against this unscrupulous company. They are sullying the brand names of ethical companies with their unethical behavior. They need to be put out of business.
