I recently contacted someone on craigslist regarding a rental property they had posted. The person to reply was Melissa Johnson ([email protected]). Here is her reply email: Dear......,
Thank you for your rental inquiry. If you wish to set up an appointment to view our property, please visitwww.Monsterrentals.com We also have numerous other studio, apartment and house rentals you can chose from.No matter what your budget is and no matter what your credit score, hopefully we will be able to help you.Thank youwww.Monsterrentals. After viewing their webpage I decided to purchase a membership. Once logged in, I found they posted the phone numbers to the properties they have listed for rent. The phone numbers are all bad numbers. After a week of trying to contact them via Email and phone, both of which do not work either, I have decided to post this report. Monsterrentals.com has charged my credit card for a membership that is nothing but a scam. They have posted false advertisements on craigslist, they have created a webpage full of non-existing rental properties, and they charge for a for a service that has no working customer service phone numbers or emails. I hope no one else falls for this scam.

Thank you! I got the same exact message and the listings in the site seemed too good to be true. Turns out they are! I am glad I didn't purchase a membership before checking it out further.
