We were contacted by phone and mail, saying they could get our mortage payment lowered and stop forclosure. They told us to send a copy of a $500.00 check and no other fees would be charged until the bank agreed to new terms. After 3-4 months, they still had not contacted our bank. They asked for more money, we said "no". They contacted our Bank and attempted to inpersonate my husband. Our bank contacted us and told us what they did. The bank told us "we will not work with these people, they are trying to rip you off!" We contacted "Andrew" from Mortagepaymentrepair and confronted him about the whole situation and demanded our money back. In March, the bank we have our personal banking with, called us and told us "someone" had taken 2 automatic unauthorized withddrawals from our account and asked us who it was, it was mortagepaymentrepair. We had our bank account frozen because of this fraud and an investigation is in persuit. The bank did reimburse our $1,000.00 temporarily, but our account is frozen until investigation is over. My husband was critically injured, and we were (are) infear of losing our home. Our oldest son also is suffereing complications from a brain tumor and had to move back home with us, and is in need of our help. We are educated people who own a business devasted by the economy, and did not know anything about this type of scam, and not to make excuses, but our vulnerability at his time made it easy for these type of predators to take advantage, and it has greatly addes to our grief.
