I went to Ocean View Optical to get my husband & myself new, very much needed, glasses. My eye exam was done prior (at a reputable place where I've gone to for years, decided not to this time around, thought to give Ocean View a try, BIG MISTAKE!), so I had my prescription with me, which included the following: Viralux (able to see distance & read from this type of lense), Non-Glare & Transition (lense adjust/darken once you go outdoors). my husband's exam on the other hand, was done at Ocean View optical. After paying my 2nd installment for a total bill of $339.00, (8/11), I got my new glasses. My husband's insurance covered his bill. My new glasses only took care of being able to see long distance & nothing else! I realized after going home that my glasses were not
correct, my Husband wasn't able to use his either, same reason. Called 'Tanya' several times! (office mgr/owner), finally spoke with her, who claimed both glasses were properly filled, they were everything my prescription said, she'll redo my husband's (since she did the exam) but said I need to go back to the place that took my eye exam, for proof, well I did, they took a look at both the prescription & the glasses & guess what they said, "they're not the same!" Went to 'Tanya' with 'my findings' who refused to give me a refund! Now I'm demanding my money because she didn't correct/fix like she 'claimed' she would & have also alerted my husband's insurance of the same. She also claims that the receipt shows 'no refund' why is that?! Also never got a 'store' receipt from 'Tanya' her clerk only gave my my credit card receipt which just shows the amt pd & that's the type of receipts they give. Should've realized at the time that this was unprofessional! Well 'Tanya', I'm demanding a full refund and am sharing this experience to all who may be interested in considering going to your business so as to avoid anyone else from being subjected to the same! BBB has yet to speak with you after calling you several times, why is that!!
