Ok so my husband and I just moved into a larger apartment and needed some furniture. We were going to do Rent-A center but decided to just buy a piece instead. It so happens that this furniture store was down the block from a Rent-A center on Elizabeth ave. So we walk in and find this great sectional with an ottoman at a great price. We purchased the item and had a good conversation with the sales guy who was a very nice person. Now that was on 1/17/11, he stated that the item should be here in less then a week. So we waited the week, then a week and half. At that point I decided to give them a call and check on the status of the order. The guy who picked up the phone spoke no english at all. Mind you, I am a black/Hispanic minority my self but you shouldn't have people that dont speak english answering you business phone. ANYWAY the next day I finally get the woman that owns the place she tells me the sectional is there, they are waiting on the delivery truck. (???? we experienced a bad snow storm so I understood the delay) Fine, then a WEEK later still no sofa!! now I'm pissed. I could have picked the damn thing up myself by now. Me and my husband showed up numerous times to let them know we were not playing and wanted our sofa. The next day the delivery truck appeared. I dont know where they got this truck from but it looked like it shouldn't even be on the road! Then the delivery guys didn't speak english of course. The boxes looked horrible, like they kicked the boxes from elizabeth ave to my house. They guy actually tried to kick the boxes into the apartment and my husband stoped them, asked them what the hell were they doing and helped them get it in. The worst is not over. So we get everything out the boxes, there were NO directions to put the thing together. To top it off they sent the wrong screws so we couldnt even put it together. So we go BACK to the store and tell them, they have to wait to get the right screws from the factory. AND the ottoman wasnt in the box. They clamied they sent the wrong color. At this point i wanted to punch this chick in the face. I keep cool and was patient. My husband had to buy screws from the hardware store and put the thing together ourselves. Then we had to go back and forth about the ottoman and eventually picked the thing up ourselves. (which was on 2/08/11) At the end of the day, the item was a good price but it was not worth the headache, and waste of time going back and forth just to make sure you get what you pay for. I will NEVER but anything from this place again!! BUYER BEWARE!!
