ourtechstore.com AI VI LLC rogue offshore computer Interrnet service company tops the list of phione scams Norcross, Georgia
17th of Sep, 2011 by User344859
www.ourtechstore.com is a rogue offshore based Internet service that offers services such as cleaning viruses off of your computer and making your computer run faster (supposedly). They make unsolicited phone calls, initially identify themselves as being from Microsoft Windows (a lie) and use high pressure boiler-room techniques to sell their services . This scam-like operation is topping the crime fighters' lists of current phone scams in North America. (check out the bulletin boards at www.antifraud.ca the Canadian Anti Fraud center) I received two or three unsolicited phone calls from this outfit during the last month or two. They came on the phone, saying they are from Microsoft Windows, misrepresenting themselves. They use the ruse that they are able to detect that my computer is running slow and or has viruses, which is a lie. This struck me as funny, because I instantly want to know how they say they are able to determine this. Additionally, although I know that windows uses technical support agents located in India, I normally only speak to them if I call Windows requesting technical support . Microsoft Windows would never call me out of the blue via the phone. The second tip-off that something was funny is that the person on the phone has an East Indian accent, there is a time lag in the line, the person is speaking off of a script and becomes very rude when I ask probing questions. It lists a U.S. address in Georgia, however the fellow at this address is just a front , as the perpetrators are based offshore. The tip-off was when I asked the caller with the East Indian accent WHERE in Georgia they are located, they could not tell me. The scammers are using merchant accounts and offshore boiler rooms in India and Indonesia/Phillippines. If somebody calls you up, speaks in a East Indian voice, reading off a script and says there is virus on your computer, offers to fix it and there is noticeable delay/lag on the line, these are the perps. There is an actual business which is located at the address in Georgia address however this
appears to be just a dupe who has allowed his address to be ripped off. Th er isd also aniother Nashville address being used on another web site put up by these perps. Redundant web sites, I wonder why??? hmm BE AWARE !

i've never read a news about them but i got several calls from a company named PC Care. told me the same craps and expected me to buy it. how do these people get the information like phone numbers and know where i'm located? is there like a company that sells personal information like phone numbers and address?
