|When I first started talking with the company the lady who was in charge of recruiting was really nice and contacted me to come in and meet with her. When I arrived at the address, it was her house. I should have kept going, but it sounded so promising.|
We were in a room with magazines and pictures of models. She showed all success stories and promised that because I was tall I would do ?high-fashion shoots. She also said she needed pictures for a portfolio. I have done some previous modeling and pageants, so I already had professional pictures.
There are two ladies in charge and the one I talked to told me the other lady did not like the pictures I had because they were not high fashion, so I would have to different pictures. The only choice I had was to use her ?photographers and ?make-up artists.
I unfortunately agreed. I went to the photo shoot and handed over $550 dollars. Half way through the shoot I realized the ?photographer was her son and she was the ?make-up artist. I did not want to ask for my money back because I was there by myself and felt uncomfortable. They flew through the shoot (normally shoots take a long time), but we were done in less than 3 hours.
It has almost been a year and I have not had one modeling job through them. They promised I would make all money from the shoot back and more.
I just do not want people to make the same mistake that I did.
|Thanks for the info because I am searching for an agency for my daughters. They used to model for Irene Marie agency in Miami but they are no longer there and typically modeling agencies take the money out of your first job and pay back what is due for the shoot.|
