Nick Tersigni spent approximately 8 years in prison for fraud, racketeering and exploitation of the elderly when he owned Royal Palm Nursery& Landscaping in Port Charlotte, Charlotte County, Florida. He would sign contracts for landscaping and sod replacement with elderly people, take 50% of the money down, and then not complete the work. After his 8 year stint in prison, he latched onto a wife (previously convicted of misdemeanor marijuana charges in the 90s) with a wealthy mother and lives in a million dollar home in Gulfport, Florida. He purchased an existing landscaping business after being released in 2009. Contrary to the lies on his website, he did not purchase the business from his parents. On his website he claims to have been in business since 1982. Look him up on the Department of Corrections website. He was in county jail and state prison from 2001 – 2009 so he obviously does not have 30 years of experience. His website states he is “licensed and bonded.†I don’t believe that a convicted felon can be bonded – unless of course he is conducting business under someone else’s good name that was able to qualify for a bond. I’m very surprised that the State of Florida would allow someone who was convicted for ripping off its citizens to operate the exact same type of business, but indeed they have. He was in trouble with the Department of Revenue for not paying the sales tax he collected, but they are allowing him to collect sales tax again on the plants and trees he sells. Go figure. Nick Tersigni also owes his ex-wife and mother of two children $156,000 in child support. How is it that the State of Florida has not revoked his license to do business or his driver’s license with a hefty debt like that? There are people who owe far less serving jail time for not paying their child support, yet this man is able to drive his luxury vehicles, live in a million dollar home and operate not 1 but 2 businesses – Palm Harbor Palms and Pristine Tree & Landscaping. He always gives his customers the option of making the check payable to him personally or paying with cash and offers them a discount if they do. He is a master at hiding money and assets. If you have done business with him and are having trouble getting your landscaping completed, call your local authorities and turn him in. If you haven’t don’t business with him yet, save yourself some trouble and don’t! Contact his ex-wife who he owes $156,000 in child support to. I bet she’ll do your landscaping for half of what he would charge you and probably do a better job. http://www.dc.state.fl.us/ActiveOffenders/detail.asp?Bookmark=1&From=list&SessionID=30643250 |
