| I have, along with many other individuals, been working for Pinup Pub since mid March 2011. Hired at minimum wage plus tips (server). The day we were hired we were told we'd have shirts given to us that have the company logo on them.. That never happened and its now 4 months after opening the doors. But thats besides the point.. Note: All employees were told they'd be paid weekly, not bi-weekly, every Friday. Since the second week of this business being open, I, along with every other employee, have not been paid on time and each paycheck (which is a money order!) that we finally recieve is short!! They have actually been paying us under minimum wage. In fact, we dont even know how much we make an hour! It sometimes takes 2 or more weeks (depending on who it is recieving the money) to recieve our money order "paycheck". There is a bartender that quit bc he was owed over $2,000! He continued to work, living off tips, until he was fed up and quit. Like the rest of us, were all fed up with working 8, 9, 10 hr shifts a day, busting our butts , and not being paid for the work!Countless times we've told them to pay us. Countless times they have not, or cut us short. Not only do we work for free, basically, were there, alone, with no managers all day, everyday! One "manager" stops in once a day, maybe for 20 minutes, to do nothing but sit in the office and do God knows what, then leaves. Or hands certain employees flyers for free beer to go hand out on the street for more business. That is all! Lets talk about the menu. What a joke it is. Theyve had steaks, chicken wings, and key lime pie on it since we opened and not once have we had those items in stock!! Were out of almost every menu item plus most of the beer we serve daily!! Not only does it hurt business but ruins the reputation. And makes the employees look like idiots! I have continued to work for this awful place only because the tips I make keep me off the streets, which wont be for long. They.owe me roughly $1,000! And who knows if ill ever see that money. Oh and dont let me forget, theyre now doing an "investigation" on all employees bc they think were stealing money. Ha! Theres no money to be stolen from this **** hole to begin with! Excuse my french! They also own Keystone Cue & Cushion, located on 5th & Keystone Ave., which is also not paying their employees. Some tho, have been paid with drugs. To which i know for a fact is happening if proof is needed! Unfortunately for Reno, and the employees of this 3 man team scam, theyre still in business and have been for a very long time! I hope to put an end to this awful, untrustworthy, pit of employee abuse down for good! And with your help, it can finally happen!! Names Megan, by the way.
