| Mr. Weber is designing websites proclaiming to provide Data Entry (Work at Home Positions). I submitted my resume and received a reply from him stating there was a processing fee of $29.95 for training materials and to submit payment by AlertPay and that I would receive a password for the training material within 24 hours. I complied by sending my fee through AlertPay on 8/3/11 and today is 8/8/11 and I have sent several messages to Mr. Weber and have not received a reply nor a password for training. I have copies of all of the communication that I had with him and also my confirmation from AlertPay for the $29.95. I recently went to his website, and the name has been changed from Advance Industries to Genesis Data Solutions and it has the same deceiving information. Please stop this guy! |

| I am surprised that some web sites are allowing this person to prey on people who need jobs. I am a college student who is training to do administrative work and after I read this job description I was skeptical because one of my classes that I had strictly said that if a company asks for money then it is probably a scam. However, there are legitimate jobs out there according to my professor that allow you to work from home. The best way to find these jobs is to actually look up a company that you are familiar with to find out if they offer work from home jobs. I sure hope that this person who is preying on people who have been laid off gets caught and prosicuted to the fullest extent. |

The Data Entry Specialist position that you inquired about requires that you have a reliable computer with constant Internet access and capabilities, a valid E-mail account, basic Internet knowledge, and minimal typing skills. You must also be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner. This includes having excellent grammar and spelling when communicating with clients via E-mail. In addition to the above requirements, you MUST be able to follow instructions closely and completely.
All contact is done via E-mail, so you will not be required to call anyone at anytime. This allows you to work whichever hours are most convenient for you (days, nights, or weekends). You will be processing applications, as well as filling out forms in specific company databases (this tends to be tedious at times, so please be sure that you have the patience to do so before proceeding). This is why you will need to have basic Internet knowledge, though the training provided will give you step-by-step instruction on how to perform each task properly. There are no "down-times" with this position, so you will have a constant flow of work to complete on a regular basis. THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME, so if that is what you are looking for, please do not pursue this opportunity.
You will be paid $20.00 for each application completed. The amount of money you make each week is entirely up to you, and how much time and effort you are willing to put forth with this position. The average person in this position makes $200-$400 each week. If you are accepted as a Data Entry Specialist, you are considered an Independent Contractor. This means that your taxes will not be taken out; therefore, you will not be provided with any tax forms. THIS IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. The training provided will go more in depth about what to do regarding your taxes.
You will receive your pay through Alertpay or by mail (it is your choice). When an application is completed, $20.00 will be credited to your Alertpay account, (which can be withdrawn into your bank account at your leisure) or mailed to you.
There is a one-time non-refundable fee for the training package. This also includes all processing fees and training costs. We offer training for the full length of your employment. This is a one-time fee, and there will be no other charges to you. However, the fee must be received before your login and password to retrieve the training materials will be sent.
We must accept this fee to cover training costs, processing fees, as well as to ensure that only serious applicants apply. This is a non-refundable fee, so be sure that you understand the position and its requirements before sending in your payment for the training. This fee will not be waived for anyone, and cannot be deducted from your first pay. This is simply because if you do not process any applications, you will not have a first pay.
Once your payment is received, your training materials will be sent to you via email within 24 hrs. You will need a word processing program (MS Word, Notepad, etc.) Once you have completed the training, you may begin working. Most applicants finish the training in 24 hrs or less. However, you can do this at your leisure. Keep in mind, the sooner you finish the training, the sooner you may begin working. | Thanks, to all of you!! I checked this out as well and there is another company out there with the same information under the name of Karver Connections, the person is Anna Kim. The post reads the same, top to bottom (Same Church, different pew). I guess the saying is true, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck". I thank God we all DUCKED this one. Keep the faith and don't get discouraged, there is still something out there for HONEST people. |

So glad I found Scam Informer. Responded to the same exact post on Buddyboard in Milwaukee, WI.
It's 9/05/12 and the 'at-home' Data Entry Specialist post thru acutesolutions.net is obviously going strong. Beware of [email protected]. So sad these scammers are now resorting to the very legit job sites to pitch their scam and getting away with it. Very happy I didn't send my $29.95. Thanks for the info and comments. |
