Law Office of Donald P. Bebereia PAID HIM OVER 6K TO REPRESENT ME IN MY DIVORCE CASE. POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL, JOB Laguna Hills, California |

I hired Mr. Bebereia to represent me in my divorce case. The hearing was set for January 5, 2010. We had a conference with the other party for 3 hours to negotiate all the financial terms. At the end Mr Bebereia chose NOT to do a written stipulation but an oral one. I have to stress out that the other party is DEAF. After the hearing Mr. Bebereia was supposed to prepare the order for me and the other party to sign and be divorced. After 3 months the order was not ready. By then I had already paid him over $ 6,000,00. I called him and wrote him emails asking the reason for this delay. NO ANSWER. I had to hire another attorney to prepare the order and be done. On top of this, after so many months and NO WRITTEN STIPULATION the other party (who has a serious hearing impairment) claimed he did not understand the terms and now he doesn't agree with the terms. The other party filed a set aside of the judgment, I had to hire another attorney to fight it, more money, more time. I asked Mr. Bebereia to refund me the money for the poor unprofessional job he did in Court on 1/4/10. He refused. I sued him. I won the case in Small Claims Court. He appealed but I am sure I will win the appeal as well. DO NOT HIRE HIM. HE ONLY LOOKS FOR MONEY. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING. A TOTAL scam. |

I am not at all surprised to see Donald Bebereia has ripped off others in EXACTLY the same way he did to me. I also had to hire another attorney to fix what he screwed up. Big regret giving this guy money. After I tried getting a refund, the phony billing started up for work he never performed. I see why his office has triple locked doors with bullet-proof glass and he pretends to not be in his office when he is hiding out in the back---from ALL of his own clients he ripped off. |

Wow...I had much the same experience myself. Funny you should mention the phony billing. He really messed up my case, which I quickly resolved when I changed to a highly competent attorney, but then ended up running out the $3, 000 remaining in my retainer to write my a long rambling letter as to why case would not work out as I was seeking. Anyway, all his predictions in the letter were proved wrong once I got a competent attorney. If only I had known this when I first chose him, but I was in a vulnerable place. |
