| I started working for Sandra kanieski and her son Chris kanieski a few short weeks ago. They own several bars and night clubs. Im currently working at the iron horse saloon in troy Ohio. The former riverwalk tavern. I'm completely shocked and appalled at the work conditions, there is no electric they are running off generators. The generators shut off during the night, the food spoiled, they turned the coolers back on and served the spoiled meat to customers. I was told to push the chicken they needed to get rid of it ASAP. My current manager has only been there a month. She is a very sweet and honest lady. She was issued her first paycheck, she went to cash it and no funds were available. They claimed it was a mistake and issued another check, which she was also unable to cash. They issued her another check, when she asked if the check was good this time, Sandra preceded to start screaming at her infront of customers, calling her names like b**ch and good for nothing. Consumers got up and walked out due to the seen she was making. They don't have the sanitation system running in the sanitation system in the kitchen isn't hooked up, nothing is being sanitized properly. The front half is closed off due to standing stagnant water on the floors. I was told to tell customers they are under renovations. I have not seen any contractors or anyone there to fix these problems. I I was also told I'm not to name Chris or Sandra as the owners I'm to say they are managers and its owned by a corporate chain called " riverwalk complexs" The entire situation is shady. They are scamming people out if money. Falsely advertising that the Hawaiian tropics were being held there. The were contacted by the Hawaiian tropics attorney on that matter.. they have also been cited by the fire dept since u have been there in just a few short weeks. I have turned in my 2 weeks notice along with the current manager and 3 other employees. I'm an honest person and don't feel I should be lying to people, nor serve them spoiled food. They are the worse bar owners ever. They have no respect for employees or there customers. They are the worst employers ever, and in the end you don't even get paid you only receive a bad check. Due to this website and other peoples reports, I have found out they are both convicted felons and scam artists if you work for them run before you get ripped off too. Don't eat at any of there bars, the also own the arena formerly known as mustang Sallys in streetsboro Ohio and iron horse saloon in Chesterland ohio. They don't paid there employees or vendors. They accuse people of stealing and fire them when they want there paychecks. |
