Let it be known that the inept management at this establishment makes it completely impossible for a competent individual to breathe while working at this place. Attorney Robert Hing clearly enjoys operating this establishment based on fear and making their employees feel like crap when they are in the place. They only have 300 club members at an establishment for their tennis club that has been existence since 1971. Mr. Hing purchased 100 acres of land in 1971 for peanuts and is reluctant to promptly fix maintenance issues at his shopping center and other establishments so he can bless the expense. He will not give any employees the opportunity to use their god given brains and run the place the way it should be run. I commend Mr. Hing for being a J.D. and graduating from Harvard University. Yes, he is academically smart, but has no concept of employee morale and letting department heads operate under a budget. Being academically smart is not a 'shoe in' for being graced with hospitality and learning how to change with the times. The members of the club think he is crazy and it is run like his hobby to humiliate employees and not let them move. I equate him as a boss similar to that of how Sheriff Joe would run his establishment. They are carbon copies of each other. In fact, 'budget' is a word he doesn't even like to hear. He won't let people do anything without his approval. The posting that previously was made about the Hing family being so 'considerate' must be a family member trying to bring up their rating on this establishment in fear that their business will tank if people find out the truth on how they run their establishment. Their spa prices are simply crazy and they can't cultivate that business because Mr. Hing, the owner has his daughter (who is also academically brilliant) running his PR and Marketing from New York State. Does anyone wonder why she is based in New York for a Scottsdale position? Probably because she can't stand being near or working for her father in his presence either. For that, I commend her. If he was my father, I'd want to live on the North Pole and that would be too close to him. That was a smart move. He yells at his staff publically and wouldn't think twice about being more savvy politically by having a private discussion behind one of many of the doors at his establishment. I have also been told by former and current department heads that he also yells at his daughter while on speakerphone for weekly meetings and has banned his son, also an attorney (god, I don't know how he can work with him) from the property. How foolish! I wonder if he purposely runs his establishment like this because he needs to make sure it operates at a loss so he can utilize it as a tax advantage while also having the opportunity to micromanage people and utilize his ego. He is sort of like Gadhafi and his people are nothing to him. Employees can at least in this marketplace use the place to google and focus on finding a job while they can collect a paycheck from him and use it as a internet cafe while getting paid to find a job. The only way employees can be heard and exercise your rights as a staff member to be heard is to publically utilize the power of internet marketing to broadcast your truth that the public needs to know through all search engines to make this heard. This only reinforces the concept of what Occupy Wall Street is all about. Together in numbers we can make this happen! Speak out and don't be shy. The truth shall prevail.
