SKS Associates Northern Leasing Systems Inc / SKS Associates charged my bank account without my authorization New York, New York

ALERT: My lease with Northern Leasing ended 9 years ago: March 7, 2002 (most outrageous lease ever, but I paid it off) Today my bank account showed a HOLD from SKS Associates for $82.37 (associated with Nothern Lease Systems) and I called the bank right away. I was told that the pending hold has to be processed first after which I can file a dispute. - I remember receiving a letter a few weeks ago about Northern Leasing and a class action suit that is filed against them because they overcharged $4.95 a month. It is KEVIN PLUDEMAN, et al. versus this company, Index # 101059/04. I expected money back but instead was fraudulently charged. I also notified the A.G. in my state. Everybody: Take action; these rodents may try to get away with it.

We are starting to get some media attention to this. I was interviewed yesterday in Atlanta, and another victim in Albany NY was featured on their local station.

We've started a Facebook page - "SKS Associates Raided My Bank Account" We are sharing our stories there, and there are links to where to file complaints and such.

We're also sharing information and updates there, and my local media is aware of it, and so is the California attorney who also has a class action pending, as well as they've applied for a temporary restraining order to make this stop.

Update: A judge has granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting Northern et al. from debiting any more accounts on closed/terminated leases. That was ordered on 4/8/11.

My account was just hit for $93. My lease has been up with them for over 10 years. I would still like to know what to do to get my money back!!!

You should be able to dispute the charge with your bank. I just did yesterday and they credited back my account. I also filed complaints with the BBB and FTC. good Luck!

They hit our account for $75 on a lease that had expired in 1998.I have closed the account but would really like to see that these creeps get nailed for what they have done all over the country.

I was similiarly hit for $125 6 years after my lease expired and 1 year after I had closed my business. I call every couple of weeks to find out where my refund check is, but now almost 16 weeks after the fact, I am still being told that there is a "delay" in processing.
