Star Rebates Inc. Rebate Scam!! Seattle, Washington

We were solicited by Direct Buy to come in for a no obligation
presentation. Just for attending, we would receive a $300 rebate. We
went and received our application for Star Rebates. The way the program works is you have to pick a vendor, in this case Walmart, and spend $100
there every month for 15 months. Send in the receipts by the 15th of
the next month, and you will then receive a $20 gift card for that
vendor. I received the first 3 and then nothing after that. I didn't
sign the form on the first one sent in so they denied that one. I sent numerous complaints and always get an email stating that the program has
become very popular and they are behind. I can't get through to anyone
on the phones. I haven't received anything since Sept. I researched the
company and noticed the same exact complaints from other people. I also had to send in $12.95 to join the program which would be refunded at the
end. It had to be a money order, and I do not have the receipt. I
haven't received that back either. I received $60, lost the first month,
so I am due $232.95 I put in a complaint to the AG and am hoping that will help.
