toyota canada Sub-standard parts used to build vehicle toronto, Ontario Canada
3rd of Jul, 2011 by User232668
Toyota is making sub-standard cars or trucks and they fail to admit that their quality is worse than 3rd world car makers. Here is the correspondence I am having wit Toyota Canada. My truck has two striker. One is perfectly fine and the other is gone(rusted) in 4 years. I asked Toyota to proof that they did not use junk material to make their cars. They are just passing the buck and not admitting that their vehicle is lemon and their customer service is sub standard. I am posting the correspondence I had with Toyota. After writing is a strong language, they finally opened a ticket to look into my complain but I have not heard from them. They will close this investigation and blame global warming for all the trouble they are facing with 90% cars they built getting recalled. May god save this company :-)
================================================================= Dear Mr. ****: Thank you for your most recent correspondence. Your file, bearing case number 1724945, is being sent to our Review team and pending the outcome of our review with your dealership, you may expect a response from either a member of our Review Team or your Dealership's Service Manager, Mr. McDonald. We would like to thank you again for taking the time to write. Sincerely, Devon McCurry

Toyota Canada Inc. John, Thanks for taking time and responding to me. I just like to find out how
does one of the door striker gets rusted but the other one does not. I
still say Toyota used defective material to produce the vehicle. I am looking forward to hearing from you. If you like to escalate this at
your side, it will be helpful. I like to find the answer to why one of the
door striker gets rusted and the other one does not. If the material used
is sub-standard, then this will make the part go bad. The issue I faced
proves this 100% that Toyota used defective parts in the vehicle. With all the bad publicity Toyota is receiving from sub-standard cars being
manufactured and almost 90% cars getting recalled in last few years, I am
expecting Toyota to be more sensitive to customer complains and look in the
matter seriously and not just pass judgement. Thanks for your time on this matter, Regards

Certainly it is our desire to not only meet but exceed our customers
expectations in every reasonable way. Unfortunately, this is not always
possible.

therefore not covered under your warranty. It is not a manufacturing
defect.

The sticker is inside the vehicle and one gets 100% rusted and the other one is nice and shinning. The dealership guy just said, it is normal. So what is next I should expect, rusted seats and seat belts or rusted head lamps. I understood Toyota stands behind the quality of their cars but I am having a second thoughts now.

It is the desire of Toyota Canada Inc. to provide sound, durable and reliable vehicles which will require a minimum of service and not only meet, but exceed our customers' expectations. However, there remain instances, such as you have encountered, where difficulties will arise.

> Please note that listed components are only covered if they have failed due to a defect in material or factory workmanship. Your Toyota dealership is responsible for determining if the condition meets the criteria for coverage under warranty, and we fully support their advice. We recommend that you discuss this directly with the Service Manager, Michal McDonald, at Dixie Toyota.
