| raders Narrative is a blog run by Babak, the client from hellBabak. Traders Narrative. Three words that now cause many colourful adjectives to spring into my mind… for the sake of keeping things clean I will stick to “unprofessional”. Maybe he goes by Babak rather than “Robert Rowshan” to stay under the radar. I don’t know if Babak is in fact a part of his name or not but I do know that his real name is Robert Rowshan. Babak contacted me wanting a redesign of his website, Traders Narrative. If only I knew at the time that Babak of Traders Narrative is nothing more than a parasite to the design industry. After going back through his emails I am almost positive that he had also asked many designers to do the same Traders Narrative redesign at the same time. Of course he never intended to pay more than one designer. After hours were spent on the Traders Narrative redesign Babak contacted me and told me that I was no longer needed. I replied saying that I understood and let it slide rather than get into an argument with a man that is clearly unethical at best. After some time had passed Babak contacted me again, this time asking me to make some changes to the header from the design I had constructed. I agreed and gave Babak a very modest quote (£100) as it was a very simple request. Babak agreed and then paid me. Now I should have figured from the initial Traders Narrative redesign that Babak was not to be trusted but he paid me upfront so I was fooled into giving Babak a second chance. Once payment was made and the requested tasks were carried out Babak started increasing the project scope by providing examples of other designs he now wanted to head towards which did not match his initial request. Nevertheless I did what he had asked and time and time again more revisions were requested. Eventually Babak emailed me asking for a full refund (I found this request, on top of the fact that he never paid me a cent for the initial Traders Narrative design a bit rude to say the least). What is it with people like Babak (Robert Rowshan)? Why is it that he should not have to pay for the work we designers have put in. If I ordered the steak at my favourite restaurant, ate it, and then requested the linguine instead and for free, I would be laughed at! I responded to Babak and explained that the requested work had been done but I was willing to refund 50% so we could meet in the middle. He was lucky to have been offered this but of course this was not enough for the client from hell… no not at all. He was very clear that he should not have to pay for any work that has been done. After receiving many threats of name slaundering from Mr Robert Rowshan I eventually ended communication. As if Babak was not already pushing it, I actually DID refund him after he started talking negatively about me to his blog audience. Traders Narrative is a respected blog, yet Babak feels the need to use it to spread lies to his audience for the sake of his own personal vendetta. He has very conveniently left out any incriminating details about his activity and has actually made up facts to better fit his argument. According to Babak of Traders Narrative, he hasn’t been refunded at all! Obviously Babak did not not deserve a penny. If anything, he should be paying the multiple designers whose time he has wasted… probably well before I had the misfortune of working with him. The only reason Babak was finally refunded was to clear my name. This turned out to be pointless as Babak stopped replying to my emails once he got the cash… yet the slandering continues. What a surprise. Lesson learned from Traders Narrative nightmare…Dealing with Robert Rowshan of Traders Narrative did teach me to ALWAYS use a contract, no matter how small the project. I have no doubt in my mind that Babak of Traders Narrative has done this before. Finally facing someone that refuses to be bullied is obviously too much for him as it has resulted in him using his blog, Traders Narrative, to vent his “supposed” misfortune with lies and unbelievable accusations. Yes I am now writing about Babak, but this is my only way to warn anyone of this mans true colours. If there was a medal for client from hell, Babak of Traders Narrative would take the gold! Wether this comes down to his intentional manipulation or merely an actual belief that he is entitled to something for nothing, I will never know.A warning to anyone intending to work with Babak (Robert Rowshan)As if it is not already clear enough… be very wary of Babak (Robert Rowshan). I would never recommend that anyone carry out any work either for or with this troubling individual. Giving the Traders Narrative project a second chance has resulted in my otherwise perfectly good name becoming the target of Mr Robert Rowshan’s lies and accusations. Robert Rowshan is not to be trusted. I would also like to make one thing clear. The writing of this article is the result of Babak refusing to pull his article. Babak has my money, Babak has taken up many hours of my time and on top of this Babak is now doing his best to trash my name.Anyone reading this has been warned. |
