Would like to report a Car marketing scam, run through the
web by contacting individuals posting their vehicle on Craigslist, Auto
Trader, and Kijiji, I unfortunately fell victim, The company is called Vehicle Vortex, they claim to help
sell your vehicle by posting and re posting on 20 different websites and in
addition will partner with financing companies to offer financing to potential
buyers. For a fee transferred via email transfer ($295) they will provide this
service. They have what seems to be a legitimate website and a phone number with
automated messaging that takes you to voicemail of any extension. After repeated attempts I was unable to contact, neither were others who actually had their car posted on the site but no others.
Also I asked for the managers personal number and it still goes to voicemail. They set up a false account and they post select vehicles but as you imagine they never did
get around to posting mine. As mentioned I have contacted other individuals who actually have their
post on the website, and they have experienced similar non response from the
company, and no hint of their vehicle on any other used car site as they claim to do. They also have a link to a financing form, I do NOT recommend any potential buyer to fill out this form, as who knows what they will do with your banking information. Although they have posted on their site minimal vehicles for sale, this can be done by yourself on any other site by yourself for free. This is a scam for people trying to sell their car with the added benefit of financing, and having the marketing work done for you. They do not uphold a fraction of that agreement and others should be warned about their services, before throwing away their money.
