Verizon Continually billing me several months after I cancelled my service. Internet

I changed by home phone service from Verizon to Comcast in early November 2010. I received a bill from Verizon midway through November billing me for services from mid November to mid December. I contacted Verizon to have this situation rectified. I paid the bill so as not to have any bad debts on my credit report. I figured I will be reimbursed.


In mid December I received another bill from Verizon, for services from mid December to mid January. I called again to tell Verizon my account should be cancelled and I should be reimbursed for any payments I made after my service should have been cancelled. I was assured my account would be closed and I would receive reimbursement. I again paid this bill so as not to have any unpaid bills against my credit report. Again, figuring on being reimbursed.


Mid January 2011, I have again received a bill from Verizon. My Verizon service was discontinued early in November, yet I have received 3 bills now since then. I was assured on numerous separate occasions that this situation would be rectified and my account would be closed and any payments made after the service was originally closed would be remimbursed to me. I have gotten nothing but the run around with Verizon customer service. They will not close my account and continue to bill me even though my service with them was discontinued as of early November.


Verizon customer service has done nothing to help me whatsoever. They have lied and done nothing whatsoever. All I want to do is have my account closed. They keep billing me. I no longer have service with them but they are still billing me.


Comcast has assured me that they performed all actions on their end in order to switch my phone service to them and close my account with Verizon, yet I am now receiving bills from both Verizon and Comcast for phone services. Yet, I am only receiving Comcast service.
