Vios Auto Sales Dealer sold me unsafe car which they tried fixing numerous times Lawndale, California

I got a car in Sept. 2010 from Vios Auto Sales, Inc. from salesman James. The financial person at that time was Cyrus and the mechanic was Nick. The secretary or accountant is Nancy. I'd like to just say that the car that I am paying $273 a month for since September 2010 has been giving me issues since day 1. In brief these were the problems from the beginning; broken speedometer; check engine light; screeching
noise; brakes squeeling; car turning off WHILE BEING DRIVEN; broken windshield (got ticket and had to pay for ticket); gas tank cover could not be opened from inside car so I had to use the emergency pull string in trunk, car locks randomly by itself, squeaks while driving, sunspensions sucks! The biggest issue with this car is the fact that it dies while driving it. I have had people in the car while it died at a stop light. I would turn it back on and everything would be fine again. I took it back to the dealer to get it checked out, at that time the mechanic Nick said it needed coolant which he replaced. He said the car should not die again and the check engine light was due to the broken speedometer (which he said he was going to fix, never did). A couple months later car dies while slowing down to a stop. I call again and took it in again Costal (the person who handles the repairs) hooked it up to the computer and said that it's not reading any problems. He said he can't determine the problem unless the check engine light is on. Another waste of time driving it over there and not
getting anything fixed. The check engine light came on a couple days later and took it in. Costal hooked it up to the computer and it read "broken speedometer"and clogged hoses. He said he was going to clean the hoses and said that the service was not covered under my warranty so I had to pay. I also told him about the gas tank cover and how it is now not working from inside the trunk. I asked how much it was going to be and he said
he didn't know. He got it "cleaned" in an hour and the gas tank cover now is broken because they forced it open and the latch got broken off. They left it broken so I had to put valcro to keep it closed. The estimate of the service came out to be about $400. Which he didn't charge me for it. He told me that the car SHOULD NOT DIE AGAIN. So at this point, I thought it was fixed. A couple months later it died again. On May 12th during lunch I was driving down a hill and it shut off while in motion, when I had to brake the brake was obviously not working because the car was off. I almost killed myself going full
speed down a hill. I quickly put car in N and turned it back on while the car was in motion and brake real hard so I didn't hit the car infront of me and to indicate the car behind me to slow down. I called Vios as soon as it happened and complained to Nancy. She told me to bring the car in on Saturday the 14th at 10 AM. I did not drive the car to work the next day because of fear it would happen again. While driving the car to the lot the car would shake and when it shakes it would usually be an indication that it would shut off, I was making a left hand turn yeilding to on coming traffic and it was doing this I quickly stepped on the gas so I can get on the other side before a car hit me. I got to the dealer at 10:45 AM, JUST 45 min late and the mechanic who could'nt understand or speak english was standing in the office along with a sales guy I believe his name was Omar. Omar was my translater. He asked if I had an appointement and I said I talked to Nancy and she told me to bring the car in. They didn't want anything to
do with me because the mechanic had an 11:30 AM appt. 12 PM rolls by and his 11:30 appointment did not come through and the Mechanic LEFT!!!!!!! I sat around waiting for something to happen til 2 PM!!! I was sitting in the office and a customer came in and wanted to make a payment towards her car. No one wanted to help her and told her to come back on during the week when office people are there. As soon as she left one the guys came out and said this I quote "You know anyone could
take a payment you just need to write a receipt. Now we have to deal with her coming back".. Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE. Omar kept calling Costal who was in Fontana to see if he could give me a loaner but they did not want to give it to me. Nancy rolls into work along with Vio the owner and they gave me the run around. Vio asked to check my car. So he goes to my car turns it on and hits the gas, he revs it a few. This is what happened: Vio: (in drivers seat pressing gas) It sounds fine. He gets out and opens the hood and looks at the surface briefly Vio:
Everything looks good. Engine sounds good. Everything's fine. I do notice that you temperature gauge is kind of low you may have to change something there. But I'm no mechanic I don't know much about cars. I also notice your gas is pretty low... ME: Yeah about that. I've been putting $20 gas everyday and everyday it goes down. No matter how much I put in wether it be $50 or $10 the gauge is still the same and I still have to put gas everyday. He points at his new Acura. Vio: That's my car, its a V6 too and I put about $80 of gas and it lasts me 2 weeks so you need to put more gas, maybe fill it up and that could help with the mileage. ME: I can't afford to fill it up and I only drive about 10 miles a day to and from work so there is no need
for me to waste money I need on gas that I know I'll have to put the next day. He looks puzzled and it almost like he does not believe me. We go back into the office and Nancy goes into his office and talks to him. I could hear him saying about my warranty and a $100 dedutcble and how
he's not going to give me a loaner. They wanted me to bring my car back on Monday the 18th and pay $100 deductble. I could not have stressed to them enough that the car is unsafe and driving it there was a risk. Nancy looked at me with a ridiculous look and I quote said this "Well, it drove over here fine didn't it. I'm sure it's fine". I asked if there was anyway it could be checked that day or the next and she said no. I also asked for a copy of my warranty papers because I want to see for myself what is covered under this warranty and she said
she "could" but "its a long process" and that its "in the other office"and that she "would do it right now". I hope you understand my frustration dealing with this people especially when I put $2,500.00 down and making on time payments of $273 for this car that could possibly kill me. There was no point driving the car there on Saturday if the mechanic didn't even want to touch it. I told them I want to leave the car but I won't have a ride. This car is my only car that I drive ONLY to and from work due to how bad it is. They don't seem to care about any of my complaints they think its BS. She said that for them to see whats "REALLY" causing the car to die is that they have to drive it around and see if it dies on them. I told them it randomly dies it may not die within the next month or so it's unpredictable. If this was the process that they needed to do on the car they should have done it in the beginning when I complained the first
time and also the other times bringing it to get it fixed. I don't want this car nor I want to keep making payments on it. This car is worth $3,000 in KBB, I'm making $273 monthly payments for 36 months. $10,000 car that does not even work is bull shit! I am very upset and I want to take every action possible to get my money back and I want more legal action towards them because they would get different
staff members every time I go there. No one I knew from before is working there not even the mechanic. I don't understand how they are getting away with selling unsafe cars. As soon as they have your money
they treat you like nothing. When signing the contracts Nancy came with one of the papers written in spanish and said that she "ran out of english ones" so she "translated it" and told me to "sign here", I was able to also give them a post dated check. I don't want to wait til I get into an accident with this car for them to finally realize they sold me a bad car.
