Western Governors University They took my money but refuse to help me finish my degree Salt Lake City , Utah

I used to think that WGU was the best online college. I received my teaching degree from them.I decided to continue my education so I decided to go back for my masters in ESL. At first all was well. I did have to take a basic class that I had already taken which I thought was really useless but I finished it in two days and was ready to move on. The mentor that I was given was very annoying and talked about her church activities more then helping me progress in my degree. I asked for another mentor and they granted my request with a lot of complaining on my part. When I began working with my new mentor I was really able to progress and only had to finish my Capstone project. One requirement was a praxis test that was need to graduate. I took this test but did not pass it the frist time . My mentor told me that it would be fine and that I did not need to take it again because it was not required in my state. Then one day my mentor calls and tells me that I really need to finish my capstone by the end of July 2010 because she would no longer be working for the school. I told her that I could not be finished by then because I had not compiled my data. She really did not tell me why she was leaving and I thought that I would be okay with another mentor. Wrong, I got the same mentor that I had at the beginning. I thought it would be okay, wrong again, she was no help to me in anyway and she was very mean and condescending because of the past. I finished my capstone, thought I could graduate , and then she tells me that I had to take the Praxis test again. I explained what my previous mentor had told me and she said that it did not matter, I still had to take the test. I was so angry, I called the school and talked to many people and they all said I had to take the test. So I paid WGU one years tuition to take a test that I do not need in my state to receive an up grade of my teaching certificate and they did nothing to help me. My mentor did not supply me with any courses that would help me pass the test. I was not given any encouragement or feedback from her , I was only told when I did not pass it again that it was hard and that others had problems passing it too. So to date I have paid over $500.00 to take a test that I have to pass but, was not given the tools from WGU to do so. I feel that they really need to look at this requirement and either lower the test requirement or provide better courses so that people can pass the test. I would also love to be reimbursed for the years tuition that I paid and did not take any courses. I will never recommend WGU to anyone.
